Endodontic treatment commonly referred to as Root Canal Therapy (RCT) is intended to repair a tooth with an infected pulp secondary to cavity or injury. The goal of the treatment is to remove all the infected and inflamed tissue out of the tooth, clean the root canals thoroughly and successfully filling them with an inert radio opaque material. This is followed by placing a crown / cap over the tooth that has been restored with a permanent filling.
